Strategic Plan

Dear Carlisle Community:

The Pennsylvania Department of Education requires school districts to develop a Strategic Plan every six years. The Carlisle Area School District recently completed this process with committee members that included: school board members, administrators, teachers, support staff, parents, community members, business leaders and a student. The results of this strategic planning process are contained in this binder and include the following documents:

1.      Academic Standards and Assessment Report (Strategic Plan)

2.      Educational Technology Report

3.      Professional Education Report

4.      Special Education Report

5.      Student Services Report

6.      Teacher Induction Report

These documents will be on display for public review and comment from Friday, July 18, 2008 through Wednesday, August 20, 2008. Please send your written comments to me at quinnk@carlisleschools.org or to 623 West Penn Street, Carlisle, PA.  The Carlisle Area School District Board of Directors will formally approve the district’s Strategic Plan at its regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, August 21, 2008.
