Middle School World Language Program

Middle School students are offered the same languages that are available at the high school: French, German and Spanish.

World Language classes meet everyday and students who successfully complete level I of a language in eighth grade are ready to take level II as a ninth grade student.

The curriculum at the middle school is the same as the high school, so students who take level I at the middle school are then positioned to progress to the Advanced Placement Level V before graduation.

Many students find that even if they do not take the AP test, the AP language classes prepare them to possibly test into higher level college courses or test out of a college language requirement.

At all levels, World Language is a rigorous academic subject which requires additional study and homework outside of class. Students who do not take a World Language class at the middle school can start Level I when they attend high school.
