Early Childhood Education II and III

Throughout the next two years of early childhood education, students will continue to build on their knowledge of child development from infancy through school age, how to write successful lessons utilizing the state standards, how to observe students and use those observations to guide their students’ learning as well as how to use the information during parent conferences.  The high school students will work on their Child Development Associate Resource Binder as well as their professional portfolio.  They will use their knowledge of child development theorist to formulate their own teaching philosophy.  In addition, students will participate in an elementary school classroom as well as a special needs classroom.

The third year students will participate in the NOCTI (state examination) during the spring.
