About the Keystone Invitational:
The Band Boosters of Carlisle have carried on a tradition of hosting a great band competition for over twenty-five years. It has been a consistently well-organized event, boasts good food and great bands from near and far. Our commitment to you, your band and your fans is accurate and timely information, a great show, and responsiveness to the needs of all participating units.
The Performance Venue:
- The competition is held at Carlisle High School Ken Millen Stadium
- The Carlisle High School Stadium features:
- Excellent lighting
- A clear and unobstructed view of the field from all seats
- Plenty of seating for fans as well as performing bands
- Easy entry/exit areas for performing bands
- Well-lit warm-up areas that are just the right distance from the stadium to balance the needs of the performers, pit, props/accessories, and not have warm-ups disrupting other band performances in the stadium
Directions: From the Pennsylvania Turnpike, PA-76
Take PA-76 Exit 226 (Carlisle), stay to the right after the toll booth and follow US-11 South toward CARLISLE. Proceed through four red lights (1- Hoss's Restaurant, 2- Harmony Hall Rd./Wolf Bridge Rd., 3- Calvary Rd. and the 4-War College). Turn right on Clay Street at the fifth red light.
Turn Left at "G" Street (the second street on the left) and proceed through three stop signs. At the fourth stop sign, turn left on College Street. EQUIPMENT TRUCKS FOLLOW THIS PARAGRAPH TO THE STADIUM Proceed on College street to "B" street. Turn right on "B" Street. The school campus and stadium will be on your left approximately 1/2 mile. SPECTATORS FOLLOW THIS PARAGRAPH TO THE PARKING AREA Proceed on College street to West North Street (first traffic light). Turn right on West North Street. Proceed to the second stop sign and turn right onto Cedar Street. Proceed one block. Turn left on West Penn Street. Parking areas are one block ahead on the right. From I-81
EQUIPMENT TRUCKS FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS
From "College Street" Exit 45, proceed towards Carlisle. (If you are arriving from the north, this means you turn right at the bottom of the ramp. If you are arriving from the south, this means you turn left at the bottom of the ramp.) Go to the first red light (not counting the lights at the I-81 exit ramps). Turn left on Belvedere Street and proceed until the street dead ends at High Street. Turn right on High Street and go to the second traffic light. Turn left onto College Street and proceed to "B" Street. Turn left onto "B" Street and proceed about one half mile to the school and stadium campus. SPECTATORS FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS
From "College Street" Exit 45, head towards Carlisle. (If you are arriving from the north, this means you turn right at the bottom of he ramp. If you are arriving from the south, this means you turn left at the bottom of the ramp.) Go to the first red light. Turn left on Belvedere Street and proceed until the street dead ends at High Street. Turn left on High Street and go to the first red light. Turn right on Orange Street and go under the underpass and stay to the right. Proceed on Orange Street until the third stop sign. Turn right onto Penn Street.
