Technology Fee

Carlisle High School students are required to have a laptop for their educational use during the school day, to expand learning beyond the classroom, enhance teaching opportunities, and improve student achievement. If your student does not have daily access to a laptop, one may be borrowed from the district for a $25 annual non-refundable technology fee*. This fee covers a new accidental damage protection plan for district laptops that would eliminate financial obligations for up to two accidental and unintentional damage incidents. Students are expected to follow usage guidelines and to use caution in handling the equipment.

The technology fee may be paid in advance at www.myschoolbucks.com (chose ‘Make a Payment’). You will use the same account you may have already setup for cafeteria payments. If you do not already have an account, you will need the student number to register. The student number is located on your student’s report card and student ID card.

If paying at the time of distribution, please make checks or money orders payable to Carlisle Area School District. Cash and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express) will also be accepted.

Each student will be issued a laptop, battery, charger, and a case that must be returned at the end of the school year or upon withdrawal. Failure to return each of these items will result in an obligation for the amount of the equipment.
