The Middle School Counselor provides direct and indirect services to all students through the American School Counselor Association National Model.
Services include:
- teaching the school counseling curriculum to all students through classroom lessons
- providing individual short-term counseling to students
- providing small group counseling sessions to address situational needs
- monitoring students' academic progress throughout the year
- leading orientation activities for 5th graders and new students
- offering assistance to 8th grade students in selecting courses for the high school
- referring students to outside agencies and/or community resources for additional assistance and information
- consulting with parents, teachers, and community organizations to benefit a student
- collaborating with educational partners to support student achievement
- attending meetings regarding students

- Your child is struggling academically
- Your child is having problems in school
- There has been a significant change in your home that might impact your child (e.g., family illness, divorce)
- You would like to schedule an appointment with your student's counselor
Please contact the Counseling Center secretary if:
- You would like to schedule a parent-teacher conference
- You have changed addresses or telephone numbers
- You are planning to move out of the area
- You need a copy of your student's records
