Seventeen middle school band students were recently selected to participate in the 2020 Middle School Cumberland County Band. The event was held January 3 and 4 at Messiah College with Dr. Stowman directing the ensemble. Dr. Stowman is in charge of the Music Department at Messiah College.
The Middle School County Band includes seventeen middle schools in Cumberland County and has 130 students in the band, mostly 8th graders. They rehearsed all day on Friday and had their concert on Saturday.
