MLK Jr. Commemoration Recognizes Students
In celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the Carlisle MLK Commemoration Event Committee sponsored a creative project for grades 1-12 in the Carlisle Area School District (CASD). Students were encouraged to work independently or collaboratively on a project that spoke to this year’s theme: “Remember! Celebrate! Act! The Time is Now for Our Beloved Community.”
The student recognition for highlighted projects was led by CASD English Department Head Teacher Keely McGeehan and MLK Commemoration Committee Treasurer Judy Cobb at the 31st Annual Commemoration.
