CHS Students Are Senators for a Day
Eight CHS students were selected to be "Senators for a Day" and spent time with Senator Greg Rothman at the Pennsylvania state capital. This was an immersive experience, learning about and participating in the legislative process. Students participated in mock legislative sessions, served on one of five committees to discuss bills, take positions, and draft legislation for the full Senate to consider. Later, they met in full session to debate and vote on legislation drafted by the committees.
