On November 20th, students from Mr. Shipley and Mrs. Wolfe's classes spent the day at Harrisburg University learning about geo-spatial applications through the use of drone technology. The hands-on flying experience tested their piloting, navigation, and problem-solving skills.
Drones offer practical applications in fields like environmental monitoring, search and rescue, and agriculture. Flying drones helps students build both technical expertise and critical thinking skills, preparing them for future careers in various industries.
Thank you to Harrisburg University and Carlisle High School Teachers Clint Shipley and Robyn Wolfe for providing this wonderful experience to the students!
