About Me
Hello.  My Name is Tara Brenner.  I joined the Carlisle High School Faculty in November 2018 as the instructor for the Health Careers Curriculum in the Career and Technology Department at Carlisle High School.

I come from a background of Physical Therapy.  I am a licensed Physical Therapist by training and have worked in many varied health care settings over the course of my clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.  In addition to my role as instructor at Carlisle High School in the Health Careers Curriculum,  I am currently continuing to work in an inpatient setting as employed by UPMC Pinnacle as a PRN Physical Therapist, and in the outpatient sector as a PRN Physical Therapist for Advanced Physical Therapy and Fitness.

Education:

Juniata College: 1993:  Bachelors of Science:   Program of Emphasis in Pre-Physical Therapy

Hahnemann University (Drexel University) 1996:  Masters of Physical Therapy

More about me..... I am married to my best friend, John.  We were married in 1996 and have lived in the Carlisle Area since 1996.  We have one son, who graduated from Carlisle High School in 2019 and is attending Susquehanna University.  We also live with 2 fur babies-- Abbey, a big happy Bernese Mountain Dog, and Sophie, a little lovable Aussiedoodle.

I am an avid equestrian and have ridden horses my entire life.  I currently am able to ride an ornery Hafflinger named Pony Boy, and a very tall Fresian named Zorro.

I volunteer as an instructor for Therapeutic Riding Association of Cumberland County and have done so since 1996.
