January 25, 2018

“A Growth Mindset for Growing Minds”

Individuals who develop a growth mindset are likely to be more resistant to adverse consequences of stress. In this training, parents and educators will learn strategies that promote a growth mindset at various developmental levels.

“What Am I Signing?”

This will provide parents with a general overview of special education forms and terminology.  The purpose is to make parents comfortable participating, in team meeting, by increasing their understanding of the process that a school team works through to address individual student needs.

“Speech Language Development”

Participants will gain an understanding of speech and language developmental milestones. Learn the different skills expected and red flags for each stage. We will provide strategies and activities you can do if you have concerns regarding your child's development. Development for children birth through ten years of age will be discussed. Questions from participants are encouraged and welcomed.
