Health Council

Mission Statement

The mission of the Carlisle Area School District Health Council is to support the physical, emotional, and academic health and well-being of the district's students, faculty, and staff. Because health and wellness enhance academic readiness, personal achievement and lifelong success, the Health Council promotes healthy eating and fitness practices at school and at home, including outdoor and leisure-time experiences.

District Health Council Goals

1. Develop a district health council and school health council in each elementary, middle and high school building.

2. Develop partnerships with community agencies to provide technical assistance and financial support to the district health council and its initiatives.

3. Collect data from a variety of key stakeholders to determine health risk behaviors among students and staff. Utilize data to target key areas.
