Admissions
HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, offers more than 120 programs across five campuses throughout Central Pennsylvania and offers a range of online classes and programs. Whether your goal is to complete a certificate program, associate’s degree, or transfer your credits to a four-year school, HACC can help you get the training and education you need.  HACC also helps current high school students to get a head start on college at a discounted tuition rate. Dual Enrollment classes through HACC allow rising juniors or seniors to earn college credit without the pressure of the AP exam. These credits can count toward high school graduation requirements and are transferable to four-year universities.

Disability Services: Tips for Success in First Year of College

This program will include an overview of the laws protecting those who identify with a disability, a discussion of reasonable accommodations, comparison of differences between high school and college, understanding self-advocacy, the process of registration with disability services, tips for student success, what to expect in the first year, skills for transitioning, and an overview of the importance of wellness in college.  There will be time allowed at the conclusion of the presentation for group and individual questions.

“Understanding Anxiety & Depression and Its Impact on School Performance”

Parents will gain a better understanding of how school performance may be affected when a child displays signs of anxiety or depression. 

Join presenters Loretta Kefford and Angie Heishman to gain a better understanding of the signs and behavioral symptoms of anxiety/depression.  Participants will learn strategies that may help your child learn to manage depression/anxiety, and as a result, be more successful at school.
