Carlisle @ Mid-Penn Championships

This past weekend the Carlisle Track and Field teams were in action at the Mid-Penn Championship meet.
On the girls' side Ana Bondy led the way with individual titles in both the mile and the 800 meter run. Elisabeth Bordner nabbed a bronze in the 800 as well and the two joined up in two relays to bring home 2nd place silvers in the 4x400 meter relay and 4x800 meter relay. Other girls coming home with Conference meet medals were Sunny Davis, Ikram Issakh, Zofia Andrusyszyn, and Allie Julias.
On the boys' side 15 of our boys came home with All-conference medals. Leading the way was our only event winner on the day, Kolbin Heberlig in the 800 meter run. Drew Hopper medaled in 3 individual events: Disc, Shot, and Javelin. Other boys earning individual medals were Connor Baldwin, Landon Trahan, Seth Reichenbach, Luke Kaden, Vitor Santos, and Rodolfo Valdez.
Please wish the teams good luck as they continue on to the District 3 Championships this weekend at Shippensburg University!

Carlisle vs Altoona
Tuesday, May 5
Altoona came to Carlisle on Tuesday for the last dual meet of the season in Track and Field. Their girls are the powerhouse of the Mid-Penn and it showed as they held off the Lady Herd by a score of 104-46. Carlisle girls picked up wins in the 4x800 relay, Ana Bondy won the mile, Elisabeth Bordner won the 400, and Sunny Davis won the High Jump. The girls finish the season at 5-4 and are headed to Mid-Penns this Saturday.
On the boys side the Herd wrapped up the perfect dual season with a big win over Altoona 115-35. Altoona's boys narrowly won the 4x100 relay and also the pole vault. Carlisle's boys won the other 16 events! Leading the way was again Drew Hopper with wins at all three throws. Connor Baldwin and Landon Trahan both picked up two wins. Other event winners included Denny Shank, Abulkhassim Abdelrahim, Jon McKnight, Marcus Kennedy, Rodolfo Valdez, Carter Wilson, and Sean Smith. The boys finish the season at 9-0 and the Champions of the Commonwealth Division!

Carlisle @ Central Dauphin East
Tuesday, April 28
Carlisle Track and Field travelled to CD East yesterday for one of the final dual meets of the season. The Herd trounced East by a final score of 117-32. Leading the way for the Herd were double event winners Drew Hopper, Kolbin Heberlig, and Landon Trahan. Other individual event winners were Sean Smith, Bishop Campbell, and Vitor Santos. The boys are now 8-0 on the season and have clinched at least a share of the Commonwealth division title.
The Carlisle girls also put up big points in a 105-40 rout. Leading the Lady Herd were double event winners, Elisabeth Bordner, Sunny Davis, and Norah Waleski. Other individual event winners were Ana Bondy, Allie Julias, and Alexa Riccio. This win guarantees the girls a winning record on the season as we are now 5-3 with only one meet against Altoona to go.
Carlisle vs Chambersburg
Tuesday, April 21
The Chambersburg Trojans came to Carlisle for a big Track and Field meet on the season's schedule. The Herd is the only remaining undefeated boys team in the Commonwealth and sent the Trojans home with only their 2nd loss of the season. The final score ended up at 98-52. Leading the way was Drew Hopper winning all three throwing events. Landon Trahan led the sprints squad with wins at 100, 200, and two relays. Other event winners for our boys were Kolbin Heberlig in the mile, Seth Reichenbach in the 2 mile, and Luke Kaden in the 800. The boys are now 7-0 on the season.
On the girls side the Lady Trojans overwhelmed Carlisle with numbers. They were just too deep in too many event areas. Ana Bondy won the mile, the 2-mile, and 800. Elisabeth Bordner went sub-60 to win the 400, and then again sub-60 anchoring our 4x4 relay. Alexa RIccio got us our only win in the field with a Javelin toss of nearly 110 feet. The final score was 94-56 and the girls are now 4-3 on the season.

Tuesday, April 14
Carlisle Track and Field traveled to Mifflin County on Tuesday and came home with some big wins. On the girls' side the girls won 96-53. Leading the way for the Lady Herd was Sunny Davis who won High Jump, Triple Jump, and Long Jump. Elisabeth Bordner won an unusual double: the mile and 300 hurdles, while Ana Bondy won the 400 and the 2 mile. Other individual event winners were Alexis Wolf, Allie Julias, Norah Waleski, and Anna Shadler. The girls are now 4-2 on the season.
The boys brought home a 90-59 victory to keep the undefeated dual season rolling. Drew Hopper led the way with wins at Discus, Shot, and Javelin. Landon Trahan won the 100 and 200. Connor Baldwin won both the 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles. Other event winners were Carter Wilson, Seth Reichenbach, Brayden Stewart, and Ezra Barwick. The boys are now 6-0 on the season.
Carlisle vs Cumberland Valley
Thursday, April 9
Carlisle Track and Field hosted Cumberland Valley yesterday in a battle of the last two undefeated teams in the Commonwealth Division. The Thundering Herd came out on top 81-69 and are in the driver's seat to end the season as Division Champions. Leading the way for the Herd was our only multiple event winner, Drew Hopper, who won the shot put, the discus, AND broke the school record in the Javelin going 191 feet and 6 inches! Congratulations Drew! Other boys winning events were Landon Trahan, Vitor Santos, Connor Baldwin, Eisley Seretti, Kolbin Heberlig, and Sean Smith. The boys are now 5-0 on the season and head to Mifflin County next Tuesday.
On the girls' side we had some great results as well, but CV's depth prevailed. The final score was 96-54 and we considered holding them under 100 here was a minor victory! Leading the way for the Lady Herd was Sunny Davis who won High Jump, Long Jump, and Triple Jump! Other event winners were Ana Bondy in the 800, Julia Leskosky at Javelin, and Zofia Andrusyszyn in the 3200. The girls are now 3-2 on the season.

Carlisle vs State College
Tuesday, March 31
Carlisle Track and Field hosted State College yesterday and used the warm weather to propel us to some fantastic results. On the boys' side the Herd came away with a resounding 99-51 victory. Winning all 3 relays was a deciding factor. Leading the way for the boys was Drew Hopper who won all three throwing events: shot put, discus, and javelin. Seth Reichenbach won both the mile and 2 mile. Other event winners were Jaiden Kipp, Landon Trahan, Vitor Santos, Connor Baldwin, and Abulkhassim Abdelrahim. The boys are now 2-0 on the season.
On the girls' side, despite some outstanding performances, the Lady Lions were just too good in too many event areas to be overcome and defeated the Lady Herd 93-57. Winning events for our girls were Sunny Davis, Norah Waleski, Elisabeth Bordner, Allie Julias, and Ana Bondy. The girls are now 1-1 on the season and head to Central Dauphin tomorrow.

Carlisle vs Harrisburg

Carlisle Track and Field opened up the Outdoor season at home Monday night against Harrisburg. On the boys side the Herd downed the Cougars by a score of 135-11. Our boys won 17 of the 18 events and racked up event sweeps in 12 of the 18. Leading the way for the Herd was Drew Hopper who won all three throwing events by sizable margins. Connor Baldwin and Landon Trahan were both double event winners. Other individual event winners were Kolbin Heberlig, Seth Reichenbach, Luke Messenger, Mickel Hakim, Rodolfo Valdez, Sean Smith, and Sakie Mitsios.
On the girls side it was a similar story as the girls won 115-35. Our girls won 15 of the 18 events and leading the way was Sunny Davis who won all three jumping events! Allie Julias was a double event winner in the 400 and 200. Other event winners were Amanee Jones, Elisabeth Bordner, Alexis Wolf, Ella Gatbonton, Alexa Riccio, Natalya Kennedy and Anna Schadler.
