The following students participated and placed in the annual AMVETS National Americanism Contest:

-Jackson Simms, Kindergarten at Mooreland Elementary School - Won 1st place in the local Flag Coloring Contest

-Isabella Rose, 7th Grade at Wilson Middle School- Won 1st place in the local Essay Contest "Why is the Constitution important to me?" and also won first place in State.  She will now compete in the National contest which will be held in June.

-Rita Veneziale, Sophomore - Placed 2nd in the local Essay Contest "Why is the Constitution important to me?"

-Kensington MacMillen, Sophomore - Won 1st place in the local Essay Contest "Why is the Constitution important to me?" and also placed in 2nd for State.

-Salko Hrnjic, Junior  - Placed 2nd in the local Essay Contest "Why is the constitution important to me?"

-Arianna Floyd, Senior - Won 1st place in the local Essay Contest "Why is the Constitution important to me?"
