Bigs in Blue Recognized by School Board
"Bigs in Blue" was recognized by the School Board on January 18, 2018.  Representing the program were Policy Chief Taro Landis, Sgt. Simon Jackson, Sgt. Adolfo Heredia, students Navaeh Chandler, Seager Gossert, and Keemauree Smith. They were joined by Wilson Middle School Acting Principal, Walt Bond, School Board President Paula Bussard, Cumberland-Perry Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters Capital Region, Barrie Ann George, and Acting Superintendent Christina Spielbauer.

The “Bigs in Blue” is a site-based, one-to-one mentoring program that is professionally supported by Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region.  Carlisle Police Officers participated in the "Bigs in Blue" kickoff program with students at Wilson Middle school on October 27, 2017.
