March is Celebrate the Arts Month in Pennsylvania and many CASD students are representing CASD in a statewide exhibit. The Youth Art Month (YAM) show was organized by the PA Art Education Association (PAEA) and hosted at the PA Dept. of Education (PDE). This K -12 state-wide exhibit was on display in the Honors Suite on the first floor from March 3 – April 15th. A special reception was held for artists and their families on Saturday, March 10th.
The show provides an opportunity for the students of teachers belonging to the professional organization, PAEA, and includes approximately 350 student works of art. One student work of art will be selected at the elementary, middle, and high school levels as well as a Best in Show winner. Aisling Dolan, 12th grade student at Carlisle High School received 1st place in the Best In Show High School category.
