Each summer, Herd football players attend team camp at Lebanon Valley College. Camp provides a valuable opportunity for team bonding and to start preparing for the upcoming season.
Camp is usually in mid-July, from Saturday morning through Monday evening. The dates, once available, are posted on the LVC website. Registration forms are distributed to players during summer workouts.
Historically, the Boosters have provided ways for players to earn money toward the cost of camp. This has included:
Working shifts at the Boosters' concession stand at the Carlisle Fairgrounds. For every 4 shifts a player or their family members work before camp, the player is credited $100 toward the cost of camp. (Note that the credit is $100/4 shifts and not $25/shift. The player must complete 4 shifts to earn the credit.)
Selling raffle tickets. The Booster donate a raffle gift and organize the raffle. All proceeds go directly toward camp registration fees. The more tickets sold, the more money the player earns toward camp! (Ex., If a player sells $150 in raffle tickets, the player is credited $150 toward the cost of camp.)
