The Carlisle Area School District uses a parent notification system designed to provide you with important information in an efficient and timely manner via voice call, email, and SMS text messaging.
The district will only notify you by phone when there is a situation that will require you to take action regarding your child. Examples which constitute a phone notification include delayed starts, early dismissals, school cancellations and school attendance. Phone notifications will be made between the hours of 5:30 AM and 9 PM. Most phone notifications will be accompanied by an email and text with the same information.
The district or a specific school may also notify you through email for issues that do not require immediate action. Examples include information regarding special activities during school, after school events, updates, reminders, and parent-teacher conferences.
The information for phone, email, and cell phone notifications are submitted through the New and Returning Student forms in the PowerSchool Parent portal. One of our greatest challenges to maintaining an effective and efficient system will be the maintenance of accurate parent information. Should your information change throughout the year, please call or email the school with the changes. It will be extremely important that you notify the school anytime the notification information changes.
