Carlisle vs Cumberland Valley

Carlisle Track and Field hosted Cumberland Valley yesterday in a battle of the last two undefeated teams in the Commonwealth Division. The Thundering Herd came out on top 81-69 and are in the driver's seat to end the season as Division Champions. Leading the way for the Herd was our only multiple event winner, Drew Hopper, who won the shot put, the discus, AND broke the school record in the Javelin going 191 feet and 6 inches! Congratulations Drew! Other boys winning events were Landon Trahan, Vitor Santos, Connor Baldwin, Eisley Seretti, Kolbin Heberlig, and Sean Smith. The boys are now 5-0 on the season and head to Mifflin County next Tuesday.
On the girls' side we had some great results as well, but CV's depth prevailed. The final score was 96-54 and we considered holding them under 100 here was a minor victory! Leading the way for the Lady Herd was Sunny Davis who won High Jump, Long Jump, and Triple Jump! Other event winners were Ana Bondy in the 800, Julia Leskosky at Javelin, and Zofia Andrusyszyn in the 3200. The girls are now 3-2 on the season.
