Carlisle Area Girls Soccer Association

CGS Families:

It's hard to believe but the start to the 2019 season is almost here :)  The girls will be beginning their preparation soon and so the 2019 Carlisle Area Girls Soccer Association (CAGSA) Board thought we would try to get an early start too!  CAGSA is the booster organization set up to support the team, players and coaches.  We organize and help fund a number of activities and programs for the team each year.  The 2019 CAGSA officers are: Jodi Askins and Jen Hoffman, Co-Presidents; Vinny Dimino, Secretary and Allison Thumma, Treasurer.
CAGSA raises money from a number of sources.  Up first is our Hot Dog Sale on July 12 and 13.  We
will need all of your support through volunteering and donations to make this event a success.
In the past, we have raised as much as $2000 for the team – definitely an event worth having! Sign up link is below.

We will also continue with our team sponsor program that solicits sponsorships from community businesses.  We would love to see every player secure one sponsor.  With that kind of support, all of our fundraising goals will definitely be met!  Sponsor money and logo art are due no later than Wednesday, August 21 at the 2019 Parent Meeting (Fowler LGI).  Sponsorship information is attached.  Additionally, we will have opportunities all season donate to and visit our concession stand and we will hold one Chipotle night (date to be determined) that only requires you to come hungry to support the team!
This past week Coach Clippinger sent out the June – Oct calendar. You will see, the plan is to identify the
players for the 2019 CGS JV & V season by the end of practice on Thursday, August 15th.  CAGSA will
ramp up collecting the family annual contributions and sock payments between Friday, August 16th  and
the August 21st Parent Meeting. This season, the CAGSA family annual contribution is $30 per
player/family plus at least three concessions donations per family during the season.  All of our
fundraising is used to support the end of season banquet, team warm-up T-shirts, player awards, player
events, and additional team needs.  This year, we are also working on providing a videographer in
addition to a photographer for all home games. In addition, we will have a sock purchase program. The
cost is $15 for 2 pairs of socks (1 green, 1 white).  We will provide forms for paying for socks and dues
closer to the Parent Meeting.
We always need volunteers and donations to help with our activities.  Please consider helping at the Hot
Dog Sale outside of the car show – in front of Hamilton Elementary School– it will be an all hands on deck
kind of thing!  One of our biggest season needs is help with concessions.  The site for all sign-ups,
including the Hot Dog Sale (and the paid ball runner jobs to be added), can be found at:

Once the season schedule is finalized, you will find all those signups on the site and you will be able to
sign up for concessions.
Optional team spirit wear will be available at the start of the season.  Orders are placed online and paid
for individually.  The online store will be open in late August for about two weeks.  You will see the link
when it opens.
Thanks, in advance, for your support. We are looking forward to another fantastic season!  See you at Coach Clippinger’s Parent Meeting at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, August 21st in the Fowler LGI! And good luck to Coach Clippinger and the girls as they get the season started – Go HERD!
