Work Permit Application Instructions

Effective April 23, 2020, students wishing to secure/obtain a work permit may contact Betsy Richwine at  or Jamme Fetterman at  to schedule an appointment.  One appointment will be scheduled at a time and will last approximately 15 minutes.

The student and parent will report to the Swartz Building of the high school complex by the clock tower. Parent and student(s) must wear a mask.

Parent and student(s) responsibilities:

  1. Student(s) must be at least 14 years of age.
  2. Parent and student(s) must wear a mask.
  3. Parent and student(s) should bring their own pen for signing documents.
  4. Parent and student(s) must bring the students’ birth certificate or passport.

Appointments will be staggered so that parents and students will not come in contact with the next appointment.  All requirements of social distancing must be followed.

Other "Work Permit" Information:

A copy of the Work Permit should be given directly to the employer by the student. The employer will keep the copy on file until such time as employment is terminated. It is then the responsibility of the employer to notify the school district.

The employer may keep the copy of the permit if he desires.  However, the student maintains the original transferable permit at all times.

NOTE: In the event a Transferable Work Permit is lost, the student will need to secure a new one, repeating the process above.

When school is back in session, students may come in at any time.
