Miss Knight with the help of Mrs. Hopper, LCG Lead Gardner, have worked with students from LMS in the Lamberton Community Garden (LCG) in the fall and spring. Students were engaged in regenerative gardening and learned the importance of cover crop, natural fertilizers and how to care for a garden. Students harvested plants in the fall and prepared the garden for the winter months. This spring student worked to plant new crops in the garden and were also able to create their own small garden.
These students are on the front end of helping produce food that will, in part, serve the needs of some of the most underprivileged people in the Carlisle community through My Brother's Table at the Salvation Army.
